Car starts and idles poorly and a strong smell of gas, has no power, was running fine then running poorly. What could be wrong? I have replaced plugs and wires, o2 sensor, map sensor, air filter, fuel filter and also replaced the icm.

I checked the fuel pressure, it pagged the guage I did this with key on engine off, the fuel pressure should read 41 to 47 so does this mean that the fuel regulator is bad?

You only need to turn the key on and you said it buried the gauge so it should be 41-47 psi. Same at ilde.
