i replaced the slave cylinder in my 1992 chevy c1500 and now it won't go into gear

Dunno the reason why you change the slave-if its not doing that before you replace the slave -could be air in the system, linkage, and clutch master cylinder,Now if its doing that-sounds internally with the clutch assembly-
