Fan doesn't kick on

It reaches 240+ and the fan will not kick on. It only runs when the A/C is on.

Replace the coolant sensor

The coolant temp. Sensor in the radiator is the culprit. It operates the fan when the temo gets to 200 dgrees F and shuts off at around 160-180. You should be able to locate it by tracing the wiring from the fan to the radiator. The reason it runs when the A/C is on is because it creates a load on the engine and they put a secondary sensor that runs the fan while the A/C is on. Make sure it's the one inthe radiator you replace.
