1992 Cadillac Deville Hi Wondering Cutting Catalytic Converter Off About 1 2

Hi I was wondering I was cutting the catalytic converter off about 1-2 weeks ago before I got sick. I was wondering the catalytic converter sleeves are they welded on the inside. Meaning I know one end goes to the catalytic converter that is welded and the other end slides into the exhaust pipe. The end that slides in the exhaust pipe is that welded on the inside. Thanks.
