Car wont start and sounds like its out of time. Backfires.

Hi. Thank you for any help you may give to me.
I was driving at 55 mph and in a split second the car lost power. I pulled over and it would not start.
Pulled Balancer and checked the timing chain. Perfect condition. I changed the crankshaft sensor since I was there. Car still won't start. Scanned it and it only reads code 12 normal. My question is, could the brain be bad if I can scan it.
A mechanic friend told me it might be the ram chip. Is there any other part that might keep it out of time.
There is plenty of compression. Spark plug wires have lots of juice. Coils are working fine.
Please I am out of work and can't afford to take to the dealer.

If it sounds odd, have you checked the timing?

Yes. It seems to be 180 degrees out of time. Can't adjust that since the computer does it. Computer scans so it seems to be working. All fuses are good. All sensors are reading correctly. Very strange thing.
