Toyota Pickup Oil pump Problem
1991 Toyota Pickup 4wd 5spd 4 cylinder 22RE with no oil pressure
PLEASE HELP
Replaced timing chain, timing chain cover, water pump & oil pump. Truck runs but there is no oil pressure.
Did a manual check for oil at pressure sensor bung & oil filter & no oil is flowing. Have since packed oil pump & pressure was restored. Turned vehicle off to put drive belts back on & restarted vehicle with no oil pressure again.
Have repacked pump, changed oil, filter & replaced new oil pump with another new oil pump. Checked passages for blockage & seemingly clear. Oil runs freely when poured through via funnel.
PLEASE HELP.

You may have a cracked oil pick up tube or the gasket between the pick up tube and pump is not sealing, causing oil to drain out after priming and when running pump is sucking air.
