No don't go parts chasing it cost to much and I do not believe in it as a mechanic. I do believe this car has a mass air flow unit so get some mass air flow cleaner and remove it and spray the inside to clean it. If that don't help then let me know and I will tell you how to test it to see if it is bad, if that checks out then we will test the crank and cam sensors ok.

Nope no mass air flow on your car. Do you have a digital multi meter? If so I can walk you through a test on the TPS and the air charge temp sensor too (that is what is in the air intake hose).

Ok that sounds about right for the TPS. Now if you would ohm the air charge temp sensor thats the sensor in the air intake hose. Let me know what you find and we go from there.

No W.O.T should be 4.5 to 5 volts no more because the computer only sends it 5 volts.

Oh the TPS should be .8 to 1 volt throttle closed key on engine off, then go steady and consistantly with no drops in voltage to 4.5 to 5 volt at wide open, again key on engine off. The air charge temp sensor sounds good. Now if you would ohm the injectors they should be 8-12 ohms. Simply unplug and ohm injector.

I had a malfunctioning TPS on my Geo. Someone before me had crimped the TPS wires together instead of soldering them. With a little moisture they were shorting off and on. Worth looking at the condition of the tps wires.

that wasent so bad.depending on the cyclender it had 12.1 to 12.3
with the meator set on 200,and before i started i put the two leads together and got .04 so i guess my reading are .04 less?
what should they be?.
with the plenom off i noticed a lot of build up i guess you would call it,it looked oilydirty inside the throught and inside the plemen and the EGR tube had about 1/16 of carben buildup is that normal?
should i test the crankshaft sensor,if so how and what should be?

I would like you to unplug the coolant temp sensor when the engine is cold ohm it and let me know what the ohms are and what the air temp is when you do that. Crank sensor - unplug and ohm on the 2-k scale it should read 900 to 1200 ohms.
