car wont go forward or back, figured it would be the transmission so went and got another and it is still doing the same thing (which is nothing) have any ideas on what is might be?

assuming the fluid is good, it may be another bad trans. did you use your old torque converter??? that may be the issue with the first trans
i assume you used a used trans. thats the chance you take with junkyard parts
