Is it the "door is open" dinging? Is the light that comes on that says the "door is open"?

If that is the case then you have a faulty door switch.

Check each door switch individually, some times the switch is just not being pushed all the way, operate each switch by hand, this may be a quick way of picking up the faulty switch.

It is not the door open light that stays on, it is the seatbelt light, but when I jiggle the key the dinging will stop during the day but at night it will not stop as soon as I turn the headlights on. I have tried pulling the fuse and it kills the dashboard, I need to know what wire to cut at the bell but I cannot find any literature that tells me what wire to cut.

Also the drivers side door button is missing, but they do not make them anymore. Is it recommended to go to a junk yard and get one?
