What problem do you think is wrong with my car, when the brakes pedal and brakes arent braking properly, usually touchy,bt stiffer now.
Changed the alternator and a mate undid hoses above alternator area to get it out, and since then the braled have become stiller to push when braking, when they are usually quiet touchy braking pedals, unsure of what it could be, could it have something to do with hoses being undone above the alternator area? or something else?

could be a vacuum leak that feeds the power brake booster. check to verify they are hooked up

The vacuum hose for brake booster could have been cracked due to the work performed. Hoses hardens over age and any attempt to relocate them during the work performed can results in cracks causing vacuum leaks affecting the braking effort.
