Hi, I have a 1991 Honda Civic Sedan. Is my radiator fan only meant to come on if my air conditioning is turned on? I have not noticed it coming on at all when my a/c is off...

I think I've ruled out a blown head gasket, but I know I need a new radiator, because it's damaged. I have reason to believe that a faulty fan my have caused the damage...

There is a coolant temp switch that grounds to turn on the fan at the front corner of the engine.

The fan switch is located above the oil filter so you need to get under the vehicle to check if the wiring is intact.
