My won't start because it not getting and fuel. So I went to auto zone and bought and new main relay thinking that would fix it, but it didn't. So I put back in the old one and return to auto zone and bought a new fuel pump and fuel filter. My car won't start its not getting fuel to the motor I replaced the fuel pump and main relay I bought them at auto zone do you think the parts were defective or is there something else it could be?

I think this site is great!

At the fuel filter, there is a 12 mm hex bolt on top of the shrader bolt. Loosen the bolt and use a rag to wrap around the filter to catch any fuel that might flow out. Turn ignition on. If fuel gushes out, the fuel pump is working.

Does the MIL comes on and goes off after two seconds when ignition is turned on?

I did that and no fuel is being pumped out of the high pressure line to the fuel rail. Someone please help! I am stranded in Los Vegas and broke. I wasted money on some fly by night mobile mechanics who said they could fix it and got me to buy parts and still it will not run. It will run for a few seconds if I put gas in the air intake or if I put starter fluid, but the fuel pump will not send any fuel.

At the PGM-FI main relay, test for battery voltage at the yellow (terminal number four) wire when ignition switch is turned on. If battery voltage is not available, check for battery voltage at the black/yellow wire ( terminal number five), use a jumper across these two terminals and check the fuel pressure again.
