Our 91 Ford Tempo started spitting, sputtering and jerking the car while trying to drive. It seem to not be getting enough gas or air not really sure. Now it is to the piont where it won't even run!Clean air filter, fuel filter and replaced the EGR. Unsure what it can be at this piont even ckeck the reset switch foe the fuel pump, it's good. We already had to replace the fuel pump last year at the time, but different accurence then.

Could be caused by one of the following below

Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it
