1991 Ford F 150 Dads Pu Doesnt Start Key You Jump Across Solenoid On Fender

Dads pu doesnt start with key. You can jump across solenoid on fender from battery to ignition post and will start/run fine as long as jumped. Ignition post wire reads to ground with ohm meter. Any ideas? Ignition switch?
