Chevrolet Silverado Distributor Problem
Timing seems off. Lots off spark knock using 87 octane. Turned distributor once before and seemed to help. Can't remember which way to turn once it's loose. Help me please.

if you rotate it counterclockwise, it will advance the timing but make the pinging worse. the other way will retard the timing getting rid of the noise.
have you checked the egr valve???? you make have to do a top engine cleaning for the pinging
