I have a 91 chevy corsica with the 3.1l v6 and the 3 speed automatic transmission. I recently have been having problems with my corsica. it runs fine but after 25 minutes of driving it snubs out as i am slowing down to a stop sign. it is comparable to stopping a manual without using the clutch. i was told that disconnecting the tcc solenoid should fix the problem. is this true

Yes, that could be the TCC solenoid sticking. Open the hood and look down at the trans for a large plug, usually round and unplug it. Drive the car and see if the problem is gone. If so, have it repaired. Don't continue to drive it disconnected.
