My car is running fine but id like to know if and when I should have my valves adjusted. Also is there an inspection mileage for timing chain slack? If so is there an "easy" way to do it? Ive asked around to people who are supposed to be in the know but got no real answer. I have however seen timing chains and guides break, hence my question.

The only mileage based service is for the oxygen sensor replacement at 60k and 120K. Nothing else provided from our resource.
My experience with Japanese motors is every 30,000miles for valve lash inspections.
My experience with timing chains is every 100,000 miles for chain and components replacement (chain, sprockets, tensioner and all guides).
Have you contacted the dealer about a maintenance schedual?

Interestingly enough I did, and was told not to worry about an of it. No services required. Independent BMW shop said the same thing. But im proactive over reactive anyday. Thanks for the info
