1991 Acura Legend Repair Question

Is there a way i can adjust teh trunk & hood tension?
My 1991 Acura hood and trunk won't stay up when they are raised and I haven't figured out if there is an adjustment I can make for them. Please help so they will quit hitting me in the head. Thank you. MLR

I haven't looked yet to see if there are struts that hold the hood and the trunk, If there, replace the struts.

I looked at an online partsbook, it did show lift supports.
