Toyota Corolla Axle Removal

I am having trouble trying to remove the passenger side axle on a 1990 toyota corolla. The end of the axle is rounded so it is impossible to get a pry bar up against it to pop it out. Any suggestions?

At the body of the inner joint you would see a slot, use a pry bar on it with a wooden block as wedge. Alternatively you can try tapping the pry bar placed between the slot.

There is a tool you can rent that has a slidehammer and a "C" shaped fixture that slides into axle between tripod and axle. Then use slidehammer to pull out.
