1990 Toyota Corolla oil leak

My car is leaking oil from the left side cv joint\half shaft right where it conects to the gear box or transmision and it wont shift from first at all.

Hi tomtom661,

The leaking should be from the trans shaft seals.

When there is leakages, the fluid level would go down and this can cause shifting problems.

Check the level first.
