jeep will idle for about 5 mins, then it acts like choking out and cuts off... it has new carb,distributor, fuel pump and filter, and altinator and Im pretty sure all the vacumm lines are correct.Jeep has 160k miles........lost and confused.

What led up to this--don't be ashamed! OK, gonna try some CJ stuff here! (My specialty!) 1st, vacuum lines where they should go? Any open? Any hissing? Jeep (Engine stuff) in decent original where it used to be? Or has it been scuttled by others? How bout this one, HAVE YOU MESSED WITH ADJUSTMENTS (Dumb question ...huh?) What have you messed with? Point and send a pic(s) if nothing else....All the stuff!!! Are you Mechanical--Tuning tools and meters? I may can help, you gotta help me!--The Medic
