My air conditioner was on and it stopped getting cold, also it stays on when key is in off position.
I don't know where to start, I am frustrated. It has been working fine and it all of a sudden quits blowing cold air. Noticed that when the car is turned of, the lights on the console are still lit so I turned the fan controls and it comes on

Check the ignition switch. It could be faulty causing the power supply to remain on.
For the A/C not working, you need to check if the compressor clutch is engaging when turned on.
