1990 Ford Festiva Repair Question

Topics covered: Gas, Cooling system, Head gasket.
Mileage: 200,000 miles.

Asked on April 25, 2012

Radiator is blowing coolant into overflow until it's gone.

Replaced thermostat(tested). Tested Water pump. Flushed system to check for blockages. No change. Wondering if a bad head/head gasket is the next likely place to check.

Doesn't matter if the cap's on or not. It's like there's considerable air pressure somewhere in the system.

Go get a head check done, this is a fairly simple and cheap chemical test to check for Co in the cooling system. If positive you will have a head gasket problem.
