What is correct procedure for bleeding brakes on 1990 Ford E-150 van 6cyl 4.9L? Brakes are standard 2-wheel ABS. This also equipped with ambulance kit.

BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM

NOTE:Only bleed ABS HCU when unit has been replaced. Follow conventional bleeding procedures when HCU has not been replaced. See BLEEDING SEQUENCE.

NOTE:DO NOT allow reservoir to run dry during bleeding operation.

ABS SYSTEM
NOTE:Use New Generation Star (NGS) tester or equivalent scan tool for this procedure.

Perform conventional bleeding procedures first. See BLEEDING SEQUENCE. Connect NGS scan tool to 4-pin (Black) connector located in left front corner of engine compartment. Connector is labeled BRAKE TEST.
Using ANTI-LOCK test mode function, select ACTIVE TESTS. Select SERVICE BLEED PROCEDURE. To prepare for service bleed, depress brake pedal firmly.
Start bleed procedure by pressing START button. Brake pedal will pulsate. Repeat NGS procedure 3 times. Perform conventional bleeding procedure.
BLEEDING SEQUENCE
Before bleeding system, remove all vacuum from power unit by depressing brake pedal several times. Bleed master cylinder first, followed by wheel cylinders and calipers in sequence. See Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. See the BLEEDING SEQUENCE table.
