replaced the timing chain, distributor, knock sensor, intake gasket on my 1990 chevrolet 4x4. The only way i can keep it running is by disconnecting the knock sensor. I also had the engine out at the same time to replace the rear oil seal. Engine is a 350.

I need help with where to go now with this problem?

Thanks for this site :-)

The Only Way I Can Keep It Running Is By...stepping on the gas pedal.

Clean out the idle air control and EGR valve and see what happens

Wm. Bruce Michael, did you get this fixed? Did you take the timing cover back off and properly align the cam and crank gears? Did you check it for a vacuum leak. Did you properly torque the intake manifold?
