Chevrolet Silverado Coolant Problem

5.0 eng idles great, just started spitting and sputtering under load, code 15 came up, if I disconnect wiring connector to eng coolant sensor the eng speeds up. Is this normal. Also is there a book or web site that explains what happens if you do things like that?

you have told the computer that the temp is real high and to lean out the misture.

you should have someone look at the reading with a scan tool to see if it is faulty.

it does not mean the coolant sensor is bad.

you compensated for an issue
