How to clean the fuel injectors?

A gentleman has broken down and my dad is attempting to help him repair his car. Fuel pump relay has just been replaced. If line is disconnected fuel is flowing but not getting anything out of the injectors. How can he go about cleaning the injectors?

WAY wrong plan of attack. All injectors won't fail or clog at the same time to cause stalling. One clogged injector can cause a misfire but that's not real common.

If you're not getting fuel from any injector it's either because the fuel pump isn't building any pressure, or the Engine Computer doesn't know when to fire them. That is due to a sensor failure or a problem with their wiring. Depending on the car model and engine size that is typically caused by a problem with the crankshaft position sensor circuit or the camshaft position sensor circuit. Usually if one of them fails there will be a stored diagnostic fault code in the Engine Computer. Having those codes read is the place to start.
