1989 Toyota Cressida replace the timing belt
1989 Toyota Cressida mileage: 161,000. In the past I have always had the dealer replace the timing belt. What is the level of difficulty and can a backyard mechanic do it? Thanks.

With some mechanical skills you may be able to replace the timing belt. A Mitchell or Chilton auto repair manual will have diagrams showing the timing belt. The manuals also give step-by-step instructions.
