why is rpm droping once in a while?

89 nissan 1.6l 5 speed rpm drop once in a while an if ya feather gas comes right back anyone know why

possible dirty throttle body. have someone check it to confirm

Last tune-up? Do this clean out the IACV-AAC valve and see what happens

Yes, the Idle Air Control ( Auxiliary Air Control Valve as Nissan calls it) should be the thing to check. Cleaning it should solve the problem.
