coolant guage

89 nissan maxima. the temp guage shoots staight to the hot. I've replace both temp sensors in the thermostat housing. any suggestions?

Check and test the wiring and temperature gauge

the sensor with 1 wire should be the guage sensor. disconnect and gauge should drop to 0. ground to block and gauge should max out.
