1989 Mazda B2200 Having Difficulty Truck Egr Hose Expanding Revved Engine Now

i am having difficulty with my truck. my egr hose was expanding when i revved engine and now it will only idle when started, i can't get gas to the engine when started, if i remove egr hose that was expanding it lets me rev the engine. any advice? thanks. the hose is on the left side. it may not have anything to do with the egr.
