1989 Jaguar Xjs Hi Car Starts Warm Still Runing On Cold Start Ticking Over

Hi, the car starts OK but when it is warm it as if it is still runing on cold start, it is ticking over at 1200 rpm then it starts hunting, have you any idea what the problem could be?
