I have just changed my CV shaft in my 89 Honda Accord because my CV boot was destroyed. I now have pull in my steering wheel from side to side (which i didn't have before). Is this normal or do I need a wheel alignment?

Assuming all of the correct installation procedures were followed, suspect a worn inner cv joint housing. This is usually overlooked when the rebuilder replaces parts to repair an old shaft. The worn spots cause the rollers to bind. They are supposed to roll back and forth once each revolution. They can't do that when they bind. That makes the shaft push and pull on the spindle. That movement is transferred to the steering linkage and steering wheel.
