1989 Ford Ranger Repair Question
What you mean about tight fit driver?
what bearing are you replacing??
i want to replace the clutch pilot bearing.
is it a roller bearing or solid brass??
the pilot bearing is a roller bearing.
the puller work well with these. it has 2 ears that grab the inside and acts like a slide hammer to remove it. check with the parets stores for the tool.
i am useing a pilot bearing tool the ears on the tool have torn the roller from inside the bearing, the hull is still stuck in the end of the crankshaft.
then you will have to split the rest with a good sharp chisel.
what size chisel i need to use to split the rest of the roller bearing race in the end of the crankshaft? thank you for answering my questions.
