It was running fine with no signs of issues, and then when we tried to start it one day, it wouldn't run. I put a brand new fuel pump in it, then I put a new fuel filter on it. It still would not run longer than a couple of seconds and then cut off. It is getting spark. I had a friend who works on cars take a look at it. He opened the air filter compartment and sprayed engine starting fluid in it while I cranked it. It started and would run as long as he kept squirting the fluid in. When it ran out, the car shut off. So, I bought a new Fuel pump relay and put it in. The car immediately started, ran for 2-3 minutes and cut off. Now, it won't start again. What could be doing this???

does fuel line have a test port? put a gauge on it and watch to see if you loose pressure when it quits.

I cannot find a test port. The manual specifies that the V6 does, but does not mention the 4 cylinders having one.

you need spark, fuel pressure, and the injectors have to be firing.

I just changed the fuel pump again. It started up immediately, ran for about 15 minutes, shut off, and won't run now. Could the fuel pressure regulator be causing this??

maybe you could install your own pressure test port on fuel line somewhere? and did you try spraying again to see if it runs?
