Help!I have a 1989 Ford Econoline E-350 motor home chassis that sits for long periods. When I turn the ignition switch nothing happens to start the engine. The check engine light comes on sometimes and I hear a click under the dash sometimes.

460 Fuel injected Engine.

The old ignition switch would stick sometimes and not "rebound" when you tried to start the engine. I usually start the engine every 2-3 weeks to keep it lubed and the battery up.

I did this time and took it for a brief drive then shut it off. When I tried to restart. Nothing as far as engine.

I replaced the switch and starter solenoid so they are new. The starter works when I jump the solenoid but the engine won't start now. It did once so I could move the vehicle but now nothing.

Thanks for this site :-)

I'm sending a pic of the schematic for starting. Make usre you are getting power through the neutral switch. Also check the starter relay and fusible link. You will see it in the diagram.
