Dipstick length

I did an oil change and was reading 2 qts low on the dipstick, I've only had the van for a short time. When I got it it had an oil change already. Common sense tells me the stick is wrong. Its the reason I want to know the length of the original so I can get the right one. Its an 89 econoline 150 van with 5.0L efi. Ty.

Rather than relying on common sense and assumptions, why don't you just do a fresh oil change and fill it with the 5.2qts it takes to fill it and just make the stick at that point.
