Why wont my truck move?

Just got a new trani put in my 89 scottsdale chevy. It starts and runs just fine it has 40 psi in the cooling line and when you you shift there the gears the rpm drops like it should but it does nothing. it wont move.

If the RPM's drop, it is going into gear. When you hit the gas, does it sound like it is in neutral or is there a load on the engine?

like it's in neutral. There is no load on the engine.

Either there is a problem with the linkage or the trans is no good.
