Yeah, a blocked exhaust can cause problems. Take the exhaust loose from engine, see if it refs any better. It may scare the neighbors, but it don't take long.

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable mil codes? Change the filters if it hasn't been done already. As far as the fuel filter, make sure there is no pressure on the system before taking any lines loose.

When I got the car it was perfectly fine. My neighbor told me he fixed the car and the only thing he forgot to do is change the coils. I dont know a whole bunch about cars but I got it last year and I havent been driving it due to the problem and I didnt want to make things worse so its been sitting there since. But I do have a friend that fixs cars and ill let him know this.

Ok so my friend doest think its the cat because he shook it and he said it doesnt sound like there is anything in there. He also took the muffler off and rust came out of it but where is the rust from? He looked at the spark plugs and he didnt see anything wrong with them. I took it for a test drive and for some reason I had to put my foot all the way on the gas to get power like it went to the floor but still would shake as I go any ideas on what it could be?

Ok. I bought a fuel filter and an air filter last night because my friend said it could be those and he said hes going to drain the gas because its old from 2 years ago do u think the shaking could be from either of those or why I have to push down hard on the gas to get power?

I asked you about fuel pressure and trouble codes, your not answering? Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage.
