1989 BMW 535i Repair Question

What causes my car to vibrates bad at 35 mph than around 50mph it calms down but still vibrates but not as bad as it does at 35 mph.
When I start driving my car in first gear it drives fine when I shift to second at about 34-35 mph it starts to vibrate pretty bad third gear is about the the same as second gear fourth gear does the same thing if I'm under 50mph once I get over 50mph the vibration calms down a lot to a barable vibration.

is it in the power train or the car, like the tires or brakes??
