I got A 1988 Toyota Pickup 4cyl EFI 4x4 and it keeps over heating. I have checked for leaks and none were to be found. How can I determine if it's the water pump or the thermostat without replacing both of them?

you could remove thermostat and run without it and see if it still overheats? then check removed thermo in a pot of boiling water to see if it opens. your not losing any anti freeze are you?
