1988 Toyota Mr2 Driving Coast About 90 Minute Drive Drove 60 Minutes Car Died

I was driving my mr2 to the coast, about a 90 minute drive. I drove for about 60 minutes and he car died on me while i was driving. it had 3/4 tank left and when i tried to start it, it make the normal starting noise but wont start. just keeps making the turning noise. Really confused, any help would be great.
