Heater blows luke warm air and goes a bit cooler even when car is warmed up. I replaced the thermostat it is a 180 stock and a new heater core. Could the radiator have a clog in it? Somtimes the temp gage will spike and then it will come back down. Thanks Alan Soderstrom

Thats an issue. It has overheated and you very well nay have blown a head gasket. Get a leak down test to verify the gaskets are good.

Also, change the thermostat to 195. Makes better heat and car runs better. Runs rich at 180 and you use more gas
