Rough idle and shifting

Ok so good news is we got it started and it doesn't have any bent valves but it idles a little rough. So then we went from park shifting down through the gears and when we went back up to park to put it in that gear it makes a grinding noise. And some times it doesnt

And also the car was not moving at all when we went through the gears

Just for curiosity, do you have the driveshaft off?

I was thinking the trans was turning with no driveshaft when you placed it in park.

So does any body have any other ideas why when its running but not moving at all and you shift through gears and shift back into park it makes grinding noise right as you put it into park
