Car tries to start but fails. After several tries, it starts and runs fine.

Car has a Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection system. This problem has been gradually getting worse over the last few months - it happens more frequently and it takes more attempts to finally get the car to start. Runs fine once it starts.

Start by checking the fuel pressure if its within specs to rule out a failing fuel pump -
