I own a 1988 Honda accord lx, with ac, 1955 cc 4cyl, carb engine. My haynes manual says in order to replace the water pump, I DO NOT have to replace the timing belt or remove its cover; Is this true? If so, how many man hours are involved also?

Thank You. love this site :-) I use it all the time.
