Fuel gauge in truck will not work correctly. I replaced the sender and it the gauge still does the same thing. It reads right around a quarter of a tank all the time when it has gas and goes down from there. When I remove the ground on the sender the gauge goes to full and stays there. Please Help! Thanks

when you replaced the unit, did you move the float up and down to confirm the sweep test??

I did do that to the old unit and no change. I put the new unit in and no change so I took it back out and moved the float up and down. Completely all the way up it reads a little less than half when it should show full.
