car over heated now wont start. backfires when attempting to start

I was driving home the other day when my car over heated. I stopped immediately to check it out. Now car wont start. when i turn key seems like sometimes its going to start, then has a small back fire but wont start.

scan for codes, check fuel pressure and check to see if timing chain has jumped.

Timing prolly jumped , and blown headgaskets, check oil dispstick for any whitish colors .
