What would cause my left rear wheel to be locked up when in drive but spins fine when in reverse?

I have a 1988 cadillac fleetwood brougham with a olds 307 and it has been sittin for a few months. I went out and started it the other day to move it and put air in the tires. When i put the car in reverse it backed up with no problem, but when I put it in drive and tryed to pull forward the left rear wheel is locked up but the right rear spins freely, what would cause this problem?

this can be rust build up on the drum.youll need to remove the brake drum.try to loosen it with a hammer.if the shoes are to tight you will have to loosen them through the adjustment hole in the backing plate.ty for using 2carpros
