1987 Volvo 740 Car Will Start Clicking Solenoidi Replaced Battery Checked Fuses

my car will not start no clicking from the solenoidI replaced the battery checked all fuses and connections with multi meter and for looseness.It will not jump start using jumper cable but i can jump the car using a jumperwire from the positive cable of the battery to the starter solenoid.right now i am using a remote starter switch to start my car.can anybody tell me whats wrongcould the starter or the solenoid be bad and if so why will it start with a remote starter could it be the ignition switch

are you activating the 2 big wires or the little and big??

actually the remote starter is hooked up to the starter

do you mean the wires on the starter and if so the positive from the battery and the small plug in green wire
